In episode 31 of the Synergen Leadership Podcast, Julian speaks with Elaine Jobson, CEO of Jetts Fitness.

Elaine has worked in the health and fitness industry for over 20 years and has worked for some of the industry’s most well-known entrepreneurs including Mike Balfour, founder of Fitness First - which at the time was the fastest growing and largest chain of health clubs in the world.

Elaine has travelled the world in various leadership roles, one of which included time in South Africa taking on the role of Chief Operating Officer for Virgin Active.  During this role she was able to learn from the Richard Branson school of thinking about building a brand and focusing on the customer.  Leading the team through a significant culture shift, she was able to take Virgin Active South Africa to become Deloitte Best Company to Work For.

Elaine has now been with Jetts for over 5 years and brings with her a wealth of knowledge, experience and passion.  Sharing some of these experiences during her chat with Julian, Elaine gives some great examples of why she has been able to bring success with her in various leadership roles, and why customer and culture play such a vital part in that success.
