In episode 22 of the Synergen Leadership Podcast, Julian speaks with Cameron Schwab, founder and CEO of Design CEO.

Design CEO is focused on providing learning opportunities and experiences for senior people in business. Business often turns to the football codes when seeking to understand the key concepts of team, particularly, the role of leadership in terms of establishing a winning culture and executing a game plan. Built around the core principles of teaching mastery, the Design CEO programs seek to mirror the teaching expectations of elite sport and provides workshops and mentoring to support this.

Undoubtedly Cameron is most known for his previous roles in the Australian Football League. At the age of 24, Cameron was appointed CEO of Richmond Football Club – the youngest CEO to be appointed in the history of the game.  For most of the next 25 years, he was CEO of Richmond, Melbourne and Fremantle and to date he is the second longest serving CEO in the modern game.

During his chat with Julian, Cameron shares stories from his AFL days, along with his philosophies and thoughts on leadership, as well as some of his favourite business frameworks and models.
